Purpose-Built AI Agents That Support Your Team. They Do Not Run Your Business Alone

Specialised agents Human approval Tool access

We design and develop custom AI agents that interpret information within guardrails, prepare structured outputs for people and trigger approved next steps. Agents advise and coordinate; they do not silently execute irreversible actions unless you explicitly define that boundary.

How custom AI agents work in your operation

What custom AI agents involve

A custom AI agent is a software component configured for your operating context, with retrieval, tools and policies you approve: your vocabulary, your data sources, your escalation rules and your approval culture. Unlike a generic chatbot subscription, the agent is wired into how work actually moves, reading from authorised systems, producing drafts or classifications for review, and opening tasks when confidence or policy requires a person.

Engagements typically combine prompt and policy design, secure connections to business tools, logging for auditability, and a clear definition of what the agent may suggest versus what it may never do alone. Miguelito AI. Part of Bricat Media, builds these systems for organisations that have outgrown one-size-fits-all automation but still need disciplined human oversight.

Problems this addresses

  • Teams answer the same questions repeatedly across email, chat and phone, with inconsistent wording and missing context.
  • Specialist knowledge lives with a few people and does not scale when they are unavailable.
  • Routine triage, sorting enquiries, tagging documents, summarising threads, consumes hours that should go to higher-value work.
  • Leadership lacks a repeatable way to turn operational data into concise summaries without someone rebuilding a spreadsheet every week.

How custom agents work in practice

Each agent is scoped to a job: for example, intake preparation, exception monitoring or recurring reporting assembly. Inputs might include web forms, helpdesk tickets, shared inboxes or structured records, always within permissions you control. The agent processes those inputs using models and rules you approve, then outputs structured results: a brief for a consultant, a flagged checklist item, or a draft summary marked clearly as machine-generated.

Where traditional automation only fires when fields match exactly, agents can handle messier language, while still respecting thresholds. Low-confidence outputs route to humans; high-risk categories bypass automation entirely. This distinction is central to our approach and is explored further in Custom AI Agents vs Traditional Automation.

What can be automated

  • First-pass classification and routing of enquiries based on content and metadata.
  • Structured briefs assembled from customer messages, CRM fields and internal notes.
  • Monitoring recurring checklists and surfacing exceptions rather than silently closing items.
  • Draft responses or internal summaries for human edit before anything is sent externally.
  • Scheduled operational digests compiled from authorised dashboards or exports.

What should remain human-led includes contractual commitments, pricing decisions, clinical or legal advice, disciplinary actions and any communication that could materially affect a customer relationship without review.

Process design example

Consider a professional services firm receiving mixed enquiries through its website and shared inbox. An intake agent reads new submissions, extracts intent (new matter, status request, document upload), checks against a controlled list of service lines, and prepares a one-page brief with suggested priority, not final priority. The brief is attached to a task in the practice system; a coordinator approves or adjusts routing. Sensitive keywords trigger immediate human assignment with no automated reply. Over time, metrics on time-to-triage and rework rate guide refinements rather than expanding scope blindly.

Integrations and data

Agents are only as trustworthy as the data they read and the boundaries you set. We map which systems hold authoritative records, how authentication should work (OAuth, service accounts, scoped API keys), and what must never leave your environment. Read-only reporting connections are often enough for summary agents; intake agents may need write access to create tasks or draft records, always with idempotency and error handling so partial failures do not duplicate work.

Human checkpoints for agent actions

Approval gates are a feature, not a workaround. We design explicit states: suggested, approved, rejected, escalated. Sensitive or irreversible actions require named roles where you specify them. Logs retain who approved what and which source data was used, supporting internal quality review without pretending the agent is infallible. Human Approval in AI Workflows outlines how to decide where those gates belong.

Technical considerations

Model choice, latency, cost and privacy trade-offs are discussed during scoping, not hidden in implementation. We favour minimisation of personal data, retention limits aligned to your policy, and fallbacks when third-party AI services are unavailable (queue for human handling rather than silent failure). Agents are versioned; prompt and policy changes go through the same test cycle as code changes where risk warrants it.

Implementation process

  1. Discovery: map one workflow end-to-end, define success measures and non-negotiable human steps.
  2. Design: agent charter (purpose, inputs, outputs, forbidden actions), integration plan and approval matrix.
  3. Build: iterative configuration, staging environment, red-team scenarios for misuse and edge cases.
  4. Pilot: limited users, parallel run with existing process where helpful, feedback loop on quality.
  5. Rollout: training, runbooks, monitoring dashboards and agreed support channel.

Every project is individually scoped. Starting prices appear on our pricing page; final quotations reflect data complexity and integration depth.

How we test agent behaviour safely

We test with realistic samples you provide (anonymised where required), including adversarial inputs and ambiguous cases. Regression checks run when policies change. Acceptance criteria tie to measurable outcomes, reduced time to prepare intake briefs, fewer mis-routed tickets, not vanity usage statistics.

Support after agents go live

After launch, agents need occasional tuning as products, regulations or tone shift. Support arrangements are defined in your proposal: monitoring, policy updates, model migration when providers change, and periodic review of escalation rates. We do not lock you into opaque black boxes; documentation and ownership of credentials remain with you unless otherwise agreed.

Where custom agents are not the right fit

Agents can hallucinate or misread ambiguous text; guardrails and human review mitigate but do not eliminate risk. They are not a substitute for regulated professional judgement. We do not claim certifications we have not earned for your sector; where formal compliance is required, that scope is explicit in the contract. If a workflow is fundamentally broken, automation, including agents, will accelerate the wrong outcome; we will say so during discovery.

Why custom rather than an off-the-shelf bot?

Packaged bots optimise for quick signup, not for your CRM schema, approval culture or mixed English-and-local-language enquiries. Custom work costs more upfront but avoids forcing your operation into someone else’s taxonomy. When a broader internal tool is needed, Custom AI Business Platforms may be the better parallel track, scoped separately.

Custom AI Agents starting price

Development from €2,500 One-time starting implementation fee

Ongoing management from €390/month Optional starting monthly fee

A focused AI agent designed for a defined business task, using approved information sources and clearly specified actions.

Ongoing management covers the agreed monitoring, maintenance and support requirements of your implemented solution. Final monthly fees depend on the systems, integrations and level of support required.

Ongoing management is optional. Documented handover without managed service is available when that arrangement suits your team.

What the starting development price covers

  • Initial requirements review.
  • One defined agent workflow.
  • A limited knowledge source or integration, subject to feasibility.
  • Basic usage controls.
  • Functional testing.
  • Handover documentation.

Additional systems, multi-agent coordination, complex permissions and ongoing operations require a custom quotation.

What ongoing management typically covers

Standard ongoing management covers the agreed maintenance and monitoring of the implemented solution. Each proposal identifies the covered systems, monitoring approach, corrective-work allowance, support hours or windows, reporting rhythm, usage limits and whether hosting is included. Unlimited support, unlimited AI usage and 24/7 coverage are not included unless expressly agreed. New features, additional integrations, API fees and AI model usage are quoted separately. For SEO & Digital Intelligence, monthly management covers the agreed analytics and reporting implementation, not a full SEO retainer.

What affects the final project cost

Workflow complexity, number of integrations, API quality, data requirements, security and permissions, interfaces, testing depth, and support obligations all influence the final quotation. Development and monthly management are never combined into a single published total.

Business Consultation & Discovery: €500

The full consultation fee is credited toward the related one-time development project when the agreement is signed within 30 calendar days of receiving the completed assessment. Discovery credit does not apply to ongoing monthly management fees.

Published prices show one-time starting development fees and starting ongoing management fees (/month). They exclude applicable taxes. Final invoices reflect the applicable tax rules for your customer type and place of supply.

Frequently asked questions

Is this just ChatGPT embedded in our website?

No. A custom agent is integrated with your permissions, outputs structured work for your systems, and operates under policies you define, including when it must stay silent and escalate.

Can an agent send emails or update records automatically?

Only if you explicitly approve that behaviour for defined categories. Default designs favour drafts and tasks awaiting human approval for external communications and material record changes.

How is this different from business process automation?

Process automation excels at deterministic sequences, if this, then that. Agents handle unstructured inputs and suggested outputs; they often feed into automated processes once a human or rule confirms the classification.

Do you train models on our client data?

Data handling is scoped per project. We discuss retention, subprocessors and whether fine-tuning or retrieval-only patterns fit your policy before build begins.
